On July 3 just after 7 p.m. Baltimore County Police responded to the unit block of Flaxton Court, 21244 for a call of an injured child suffering from a possible gunshot wound. The victim, an 11-year-old girl, advised that while walking home, she was struck in the head by a projectile. Her mother called 911. The victim was transported to a local hospital and she is expected to make a full recovery.

Baltimore County Police Department's Violent Crimes Detectives are continuing the investigation into this incident.
