Fire Chief Joanne Rund has announced the promotions of three personnel to the rank of Paramedic, effective March 14.

The newly promoted members are:

  •  EMT Naomi Della Vedova
  •  PEMT Sierra Harper
  •  EMT Pious Teah

Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal pedestrian-involved hit-and-run crash of a man on South Dolfield Road early Friday morning.

The pedestrian, identified as Maxie Henry Roldan (42) of the 200 block of Erin Way, 21136, was walking westbound in the 10200 block of South Dolfield Road in the roadway around 12:30 a.m. on February 28 when a white box truck struck him. The truck stopped briefly, but then continued westbound on South Dolfield Road.

Roldan was transported to Sinai Hospital where he died the following day.

Rovyn Joel Prudencio-Banegas (35) of the unit block of Richmar Road, 21117 was arrested and charged yesterday. He is held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center pending a bail review hearing.
