Original Release (6/30/19 12:17 p.m.):

Baltimore County Police are investigating a crash that killed one person and left another injured on the evening of June 29, 2019.

Police were dispatched to a parking lot in front of Target, located in the 11000 block of Reisterstown Road, at around 10 p.m. on June 29, 2019. Preliminary investigation has revealed that a 2014 Nissan Altima was pulling away from the store when it struck a legally parked 2010 Nissan Sentra. A pedestrian, who had just exited from the parked Nissan Sentra, was standing nearby holding a small child, and was subsequently also struck as a result of the collision. The Nissan Altima continued traveling forward, also striking the adult pedestrian directly and causing both she and the small child to fall to the ground.

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene and has been identified as Ravinder Rao (67) of Grist Stone Way, 21117. The child that she was holding, her granddaughter (11 months old), was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries and is in good condition at this time.

Baltimore County Police Crash Team continues to investigate.
