Update: (12/30/19 9:00 a.m.) 

Baltimore County Police have learned that the pedestrian involved in this crash was pronounced deceased on December 28, 2019 at 6:25 p.m. She was identified and her family was notified prior to her death. Police were able to verify her identity as Mildred Edna Tamburo,71, of the 1700-block of Hall Avenue, 21227. Crash Team officers are continuing their investigation at this time.

Original release: (12/26/19 10:00 p.m.)  

The Baltimore County Police Crash Team needs the public's assistance in identifying a woman who was seriously injured in a December 26th crash. Just after 6:30 a.m., police responded to Smith Avenue and Lansdowne Road, 21227 for a pedestrian involved crash. The investigation revealed that the woman was attempting to cross Smith Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle remained at the scene. 

The woman was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma with life threatening injuries. Police have been unable to identify the pedestrian. The Baltimore County Police Sketch artist has completed the attached composite in an attempt to identify the pedestrian.
