Acting Fire Chief Jennifer Aubert-Utz has announced the promotions of several personnel to the rank of Fire Lieutenant.

The following will be promoted, effective January 19, 2019:

  • FADO Christopher J. Davis Sr.

  • Fire Specialist Richard Dunham

  • FADO Leslie O’Neal

  • FADO Edward Rachinskas

  • FADO Howard Simons

Baltimore County Police are investigating a January 7th shooting that occurred in the 7900-block of Belair Road, 21236. At 10:30 p.m., police were called to the parking lot of the Putty Hill Plaza for a shooting. Officers were able to later locate the victim after the man drove himself to a local hospital. Police determined that the man drove into the parking lot in order to make a phone call. While inside his car, the victim observed a suspect, armed with a handgun, walking up to his car. The victim drove off as the suspect approached, but was shot when the suspect fired the weapon. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his upper extremity. His injuries are suspected to be non-life threatening.

This is an on-going investigation but police do not have a suspect description at this time. If anyone has information about this shooting, please call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020.
