Update, March 5, 2018:

The woman killed Friday when a tree branch fell on her during a severe windstorm has been identified. She is Betty Lee Bauman, 77, of the 11000 block of Cedar Lane in Kingsville.

Original release:

A 77-year-old woman was killed during today's severe windstorm when a tree branch fell on her at her Kingsville home.

The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was getting her mail outside her home in the 11000 block of Cedar Lane, 21087, when the accident occurred.

BCoFD crews were dispatched at 12:38 p.m. Emergency medical providers found the woman pinned under a tree branch and pronounced her deceased at the scene.

She is one of at least five people along the East Coast who have died of injuries sustained in this winter storm.

BCoFD also responded to incidents in Upperco, the Glyndon/Reisterstown area and Lutherville involving serious damage caused by trees that fell into homes or on cars.

A man struck by a truck on Dundalk Avenue on February 15 has died as a result of the injuries sustained during the crash.

Charles George Swigert (70) of the 6700 block of Holabird Avenue, 21218 was crossing Dundalk Avenue approximately 100 feet south of the intersection at Center Place when he was struck by the side mirror of a Dodge Ram. He was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where he died yesterday just before 11 a.m.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate this incident but do not believe that impairment by either party was a factor in this crash.

With the 22nd anniversary of her death, Baltimore County Police continue to seek the public’s assistance in solving the murder of Joann “Jody” Elizabeth LeCornu, the twin sister of Jennifer LeCornu Carrieri.

Just before 4:00 a.m. on March 2, 1996, police were called to the 6300-block of York Road, 21212, for a shooting. Officers found Jody LeCornu, 23, inside her car suffering from a gunshot wound. The subsequent investigation determined that she was shot in the back while seated inside her car on the lot of the Drumcastle Shopping Center in the 6300-block of York Road, 21212. After being shot, LeCornu drove her car onto York Road and then onto the lot of the York Road Plaza. Witnesses gave information about a male suspect. The suspect followed LeCornu’s car into the lot of the Plaza and then removed an unknown item from inside Jody’s car. The man then drove away southbound on York Road in a white BMW. He was described as a black male with a stocky build and wearing a drab or green-colored army style coat.
