The female passenger in yesterday's fatal crash in Reisterstown has been identified. She remains hospitalized in critical condition. The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team is continuing their investigation into this incident.

Original Release (February 14, 2018 10:31 p.m.):

Baltimore County Police are continuing their investigation into a fatal crash this afternoon in Reisterstown involving a stolen vehicle.

Police and Fire Department personnel responded to the single-vehicle crash on Tufton Avenue near Dover Road around 3:55 p.m. after a 2000 Jeep Cherokee traveling eastbound on Tufton Avenue left the roadway and collided head-on with a tree. Police later discovered that the Jeep had been reported stolen from Baltimore City. The driver of the Jeep, identified as Ryan Anthony Morgereth (29) of the 1300 block of West 37th Street, 21211, was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics. A female passenger, who police have been unable to identify as of yet, was flown by Maryland State Police Medivac to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate this crash and are working to identify the female passenger. Anyone with information that could help them identify her is asked to contact police at 410-307-2020.
