A Jarrettsville man has been charged after police located the body of a missing woman inside her own home early Friday morning.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Homicide Unit located the body of the missing woman, Athena Dardamanis (63), known to friends as "Tina," secreted inside her home in the 8600 block of Trumps Mill Road, 21237 in Precinct 9 during the execution of a search warrant after she was reported missing by friends Thursday afternoon. Homicide detectives were called to investigate when officers determined that there were suspicious factors surrounding the victim's disappearance. An autopsy conducted Friday determined the manner of death to be homicide by multiple traumatic injuries to the upper body.

The suspect is identified as Kenneth Kyle Quick, Jr. (44) of the 1300 block of Knopp Road in Jarrettsville, 21084. Quick had stayed in Dardamanis' home on recent occasions and was known to owe her a large sum of money, which she had told friends she intended to collect just before her disappearance.

Quick is charged with 1st Degree Murder and is held on a no bail status at the Baltimore County Detention Center pending trial.
