The suspect from the August 19 fatal stabbing has been identified as Daniel Patrick Degoto, 41, of the unit block of Kelly Court, 21244. Degoto has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on denied bail status.

Update (8/19/17 6:15 p.m.)

Baltimore County Police release additional information concerning the stabbing in the 7800-block of Liberty Road. The victim was pronounced deceased just after 4 p.m. at a local hospital. The victim has been identified as Raphael M. Happy-Ikenwilo, 53, of the 4300-block of Glenmore Avenue, 21206. Detectives determined that the suspect dropped off his wife in the parking lot of the location and saw the victim getting out of his car, while the victim's wife was seated in his car. The suspect rammed his car into the victim and the victim's car. The victim's wife was not injured in the collision. The suspect then stabbed the victim numerous times. The suspect drove from the area and afterwards turned himself into authorities at the Howard County Detention Center. Charges against the suspect are pending.

Baltimore County Police were called to the 7800-block of Liberty Road, 21244 for a stabbing. Officers responded and found the male victim outside the location. Investigators have determined that the suspect struck the victim with his car, got out of the car, then stabbed the other man several times. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim’s condition is unknown.

Police are not releasing any names or further details about this stabbing at this time. More updates are expected throughout the day.
