Two people were stabbed early this morning in Cockeysville after a domestic related argument turned violent.

Around 2 a.m. police responded to the unit block of Cedar Tree Court in Cockeysville (Precinct 7) after a verbal argument between the suspect and his girlfriend escalated, resulting in him pulling out a knife and stabbing her. Another man, attempting to intervene, was also cut during the incident.

The woman, 30, suffered a life-threatening stab wound to her upper body and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, where she remains in stable condition. The man, 27, suffered a superficial cut to his upper body and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He has since been released.

Police believe the suspect, Ricardo Terrell Saunders, Jr. (30) of the unit block of Cedar Tree Court, was intoxicated by drugs and alcohol during the incident. He was placed under arrest and transported to a local hospital for treatment. He is charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, 2 counts of 1st Degree Assault, and 2 counts of 2nd Degree Assault. He has since been released from the hospital and is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
