UPDATE (July 12, 2017 12:43 p.m.):

An astute officer on the midnight shift was making a routine check on Roses discount store in the early morning hours of July 9 when he observed a subject matching the description of the suspect involved in the recent burglaries of the store walking across the parking lot toward Roses and made an arrest.

The suspect is identified as Marquis Lamont Redd (41) of no fixed address from the Halethorpe area. He is charged with 2 counts of 2nd Degree Burglary, 2 counts of Theft Under $1000, and 2 counts of Malicious Destruction of Property. At a bail review hearing on July 10 he was released from commitment on his own recognizance.

Baltimore County Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who has burglarized the same store in Halethorpe four times since November.

Police have released surveillance video and still images from Roses discount store at 3450 Annapolis Road, 21227 that depict the burglar, who last struck on June 26. The same suspect has been caught on surveillance video breaking into Roses on November 24, May 23, and May 31. During the burglaries he has taken cleaning products, electronics, a television, a drink or two for himself, even the gadget commonly known as a “fidget spinner.”

The suspect appears to be a black man of significant size, approximately 5’10’, 350 pounds, with unkempt shorter black hair and beard. Anyone who may recognize this suspect or has any information on these burglaries is asked to contact police at 410-307-2020.

The Baltimore County Burglary Unit continues to investigate these crimes.
