The operator of a motorcycle was killed when he collided with an SUV in Owings Mills last night.

Brandon Durell Holmes (30) of the 6000 block of Burnt Oak Road in Catonsville, 21228 was pronounced deceased at Northwest Hospital after his motorcycle struck a Toyota 4-Runner making a left turn from the opposing lane in the intersection of McDonogh Road and Winands Road just before 8 p.m.

The driver of the Toyota, a 42-year-old woman, was also transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The Baltimore County Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate this incident.

Two unidentified suspects are believed to have attempted to burglarize the T-Mobile store in the Milford Mill Shopping Center in the 8000 block of Liberty Road this morning by driving a van into the storefront.

A passerby called 9-1-1 after seeing a Chevrolet conversion van being driven into the front of the store around 5:51 a.m. Two suspects exited the van but were still unable to gain entry to the store because of a security gate barring the window and entrance areas. They were seen fleeing towards the nearby Exxon gas station, leaving the van, which was later determined to be reported stolen, still in the storefront.

Police and fire units responded and secured the scene. BCoFD investigators determined that there is no structural damage that would cause the shopping center to be unsafe, but T-mobile will be closed since the van penetrated the picture window.

This incident will continue to be investigated by officers of the Pikesville precinct.
