Police have identified a motorcyclist who died after a crash on Orems Road Tuesday night.

Jeffrey Scott Vipperman (44) of the 200 block of Mount Olivet Church in Airville, Pennsylvania died after he lost control of his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Orems Road in Essex and crashed into a guardrail.

Officers were called to the scene by passersby around 8:24 p.m. and immediately began CPR, which was continued by Baltimore County Fire Department EMS personnel. He was  transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Baltimore County Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate this incident.

Baltimore County Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a robbery suspect.

At approximately 6:13 p.m. on Friday, March 31, the suspect entered Shaw’s Jewelers located inside Eastpoint Mall in the 7800 block of Eastern Avenue in the Dundalk precinct. He spoke with a sales associate, inquiring about items located near the exit of the store. When the associate removed the items from the case for his inspection, he displayed a handgun, took the merchandise, and fled from the store into the mall, exiting the mall near Applebee’s Grill and Bar.

The suspect is described as a black male with short black balding hair, around 40 to 50 years of age, approximately 5’8” and 130 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 410-307-2020. This case is currently under investigation by the Baltimore County Robbery Unit.
