Kristopher Allen Delauter was released on his own recognizance on December 19, 2017.

UPDATE (December 19, 2017 3:30 p.m.):

Baltimore County Police have charged Kristopher Allen Delauter (28) of the 4800 block of Stone Shop Circle in Owings Mills with the robbery of China Wok and Beauty 2U, as well as one additional robbery.

Detectives received a number of tips from citizens following the original press release that led them to identify Delauter as the suspect in the Beauty 2U and China Wok robberies that occurred on December 10 and 12, respectively. Additionally, Delauter was identified as the suspect in a third robbery on December 14 at Asian Garden restaurant on Franklin Boulevard in Reisterstown.

"Citizen input is the key component in public safety. We are grateful for citizens willing to become involved to help us identify and remove dangerous criminals from our community," said Chief Terrence Sheridan.

Delauter is charged with three counts of Armed Robbery and is currently held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Original Release (December 14, 2017 3:37 p.m.):

Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect who robbed a China Wok in Owings Mills around 1 p.m. Tuesday, causing a heavy police response and local schools to be put on alert.

The suspect entered the China Wok at 9762 Groffs Mill Drive and displayed a portion of a rifle concealed under the black coat he was wearing, demanding money from the register. The suspect fled on foot toward New Town Boulevard while the clerk called 9-1-1. New Town Elementary and High Schools were put on alert status while officers searched for the suspect on ground and by air without success.

The same suspect is believed to be responsible for a robbery of the Beauty 2U store at 9750 Groffs Mill Drive two days earlier. Surveillance video shows the suspect entering the store around 3:30 p.m. where he pulled out a rifle concealed under his coat, pointed it at the clerk and demanded cash from the register. Again, he fled toward New Town Boulevard.

Anyone who recognizes this dangerous suspect or has any information regarding these robberies is asked to contact police at 410-307-2020. The Baltimore County Police Robbery Unit continues to investigate both of these commercial robberies.
