Baltimore County Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man inside a home in the 3900-block of Nemo Road, 21133. Just after 1:30 a.m. on December 1, 2017, police were called to the Nemo Road house when the occupants inside found the victim. The man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He has been identified as Monday Makonnen, 54, of the 3900-block of Nemo Road, 21133. Mr. Makonnen was pronounced dead at the scene.

The initial investigation revealed that unknown suspect or suspects forced their way into the house while the residents were asleep. The suspects walked into a bedroom in which Makonnen was sleeping and shot him several times. The suspects then fled from the house. The other occupants were never threatened or harmed during the shooting. Police believe that Mr. Makonnen was targeted by the suspects. There were no signs of any other type of crime inside the house.
