Update (March 18, 2016  10:17 a.m.):

Police have released the identities of the victim and suspect in yesterday's murder-suicide on Fenor Road. The victim is Kristina Burris, 42. The suspect is Enrico Anthony Brillantes, 49. Both lived in the 4400 block of Fenor Road, at the home where the barricade occurred.

Original release (March 17, 2016  2:30 p.m.):

At 8:49 a.m. today, Baltimore County Police responded to a home in the 4400 block of Fenor Road 21227 for an assault call. While en route, officers received information that an armed man at the Fenor Road home had shot a woman. When officers arrived on the scene, they set up a safe perimeter and called for specialized resources.

At approximately 10:45 a.m., tactical officers recovered the body of a female from the front of the home.

Negotiators made contact with the suspect and attempted to get the him to give himself up, but the man would not give himself up.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., the man was seen lying on the floor, suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was declared deceased at the scene.

The Baltimore County Police Department Homicide Unit is now investigating the incident at the home as a murder/suicide. The suspect and victim are boyfriend/girlfriend.

Baltimore Highlands Elementary School was placed on alert status during this incident.
