UPDATE (November 26, 2016 10:05 a.m.):

Justin Andrew Montgomery was taken into custody after peacefully surrendering himself to police in Baltimore County this morning.  Warrants obtained by both Baltimore County and Baltimore City in reference to this incident will be served.

Original release (November 25, 2016  8:23 p.m.):

Baltimore County Police and Baltimore City police are searching for a suspect in connection with two violent incidents in Baltimore City and one in Baltimore County.

Just before 1 p.m. Baltimore County Police responded to an apartment in the 1000 block of Maiden Choice Lane 21229 after receiving information from the Baltimore City Police Department about a possible armed person at the location. Baltimore County investigators later learned that the suspect had pointed a gun at a person in the apartment telling the person to leave. The suspect lived at the Maiden Choice Lane apartment.

Just after 6:30 p.m., Baltimore County Police entered the apartment and found it empty.

The suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Justin Andrew Montgomery. He is a Caucasian male, 5'6" to 6'0", 150 pounds. He is believed to be wearing a Ravens sweatshirt, and dark pants. He may also have a dark hoodie.

Baltimore County investigators have obtained an arrest warrant for Montgomery in connection with the incident at his apartment. That warrant charges him with first-degree assault, a handgun violation, and related charges. He also faces charges in connection with the incidents in Baltimore City.

Police consider Montgomery armed and dangerous. Anyone seeing him or having information about his is asked to immediately call 911.

Robbery Investigation

On November 25, 2016, at approximately 12:00pm, officers were called to the 3600 block of Coolidge Avenue for a report of a robbery. When officers arrived, they spoke with a 67-year old woman who told them a suspect just entered her home without permission. Once inside the home, the suspect assaulted her and then robbed her of a handgun and money. According to the victim, the suspect was armed with a knife during this incident. The victim was able to identify the suspect as a 29-year old acquaintance that she knew.

At approximately 12:15pm, officers received a call for service to a home in the 3700 block of Clarenell Road. When officers arrived at this location, they spoke with a 74-year old man who told them he was just robbed. The victim told officers that the suspect forced his way into his home and displayed a gun. The suspect then demanded that the victim give him his car keys. The suspect then left the location with the victim’s car. The victim identified the suspect as the same man from the earlier robbery on Coolidge Avenue.

During the course of the investigation, officers received information that the suspect was currently inside a home in Baltimore County. Officers contacted the Baltimore County Police Department and provided them with this information. The investigation into the two incidents in Baltimore City is ongoing.
