UPDATE (November 11, 2016  5:54 p.m.):

 The deceased victim in this morning's homicide on Seagate Court in Essex has been identified as Breon Markeith Baglin, age 19, of the unit block of Seagate Court.  The second victim has been identified as Juwan Khalil Mitchell, age 20, of the 800 block of Arncliffe Road in Essex. 

Homicide  detectives are continuing to investigate this crime. 

Original release (November 11, 2016  6:53 a.m.):

An overnight shooting in Essex has left one man dead and another injured. 
 
At approximately 1:05 a.m. the decedent answered a knock at his door in the unit block of Seagate Court in Essex. He was immediately shot at least one time in the upper body. During the shooting a second person in the home, who was standing behind him, was also shot at least once in the lower body. 
 
Police and medics were called to the scene where the 19-year-old victim was pronounced dead. The second victim was taken to an area hospital where he is being treated and is expected to survive his injuries. 
 
The suspect immediately fled the scene and remains outstanding. 
 
Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit will continue to investigate this crime.
