Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Burglary Unit are investigating after someone tried to break into a home in Parkville on September 24.

The investigation has indicated that just after 4 p.m. on September 24, a suspect attempted to gain entry to a home in the 2900 block of Hillcrest Avenue 21234 through a rear door but was not successful.

Video surveillance at the home shows a person knocking on the front door. A second person was seen walking on the street in front of the home. The second person appears to have talked to the person at the door at one point in the video.

Anyone with information on the persons pictured in the video surveillance or about this incident is asked to call police at 410-307-2020.

Original release (October 19, 2016  12:19 p.m.):

The Baltimore County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for a hit and run injury accident on Middle River Road October 4.

The preliminary investigation into the crash has indicated that just after 1 a.m. on October 4, a 55-year-old man was crossing the 1000 block of Middle River Road 21220. As he crossed the roadway, he was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop and fled the scene.

The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

A picture of the suspect vehicle was captured on video surveillance.

The crash is under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team.
