The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating several vehicle thefts in the Woodlawn area that have one thing in common: The vehicles had been left running and unattended.

These thefts started on December 15 and occurred at the following locations:

December 15 between 8:05 and 8:10 a.m.:
Unit block of Pacton Place 21244 – 2004 Chrysler Town and Country taken but later recovered
December 17 between 9:50 and 9:55 a.m. :
Unit block of Dawman Court 21244 – 2009 Acura MDX taken but later recovered
December 30 at 1:12 p.m. :
1700 block of Chesterton Road 21244 – 2002 Cadillac SLS taken
January 7 at 8:25 a.m. :
1700 block of Winding Brook Way 21244 – 2003 Honda Odyssey taken but later recovered
January 9 at 12:59 p.m. :
2100 block of Amber Way 21244 – 2002 Mercury Mountaineer taken

The Baltimore County Police Department advises everyone not to leave their vehicles running unattended. Unattended vehicles are easy prey for criminals who could use the stolen vehicles in the commission of other crimes. Also report any suspicious activity in your community to police immediately.
