Original release (January 13, 2016  12:31 p.m.):

Baltimore County Police are investigating a theft of police equipment from a Maryland Transportation Authority Police vehicle in Dundalk.
 
The investigation into this incident has indicated that sometime between 1:30 and 7:37 a.m. on January 9, an unknown suspect entered a parked 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe that belonged to the Maryland Transportation Authority Police. The suspect took a Glock 22 .40 caliber handgun, gun belt, Taser, two Taser cartridges, bullet proof vest, a laptop computer, camcorder, and other items.
 
Some of the items were later recovered. The handgun, Taser, and computer were not recovered.
 
Police were able to identify the suspects responsible for this crime and took them into custody:

  • Kevin Singleton (23) of the 7400 block of Durwood Road 21222 is charged with theft and related charges. He is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $100,000 bail.
  • Tyshaun Clinton Womble (18) of 7400 block of Durwood Road 21222 is charged with theft and related charges. He is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $50,000 bail.

This incident remains under investigation by the Precinct 12 / Dundalk Investigative Services Team.
