UPDATE (July 27  3:11 p.m.):

The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that the pedestrian was crossing Towsontown Boulevard from the south side to the north side. A vehicle that had been traveling east-bound on Towsontown Boulevard struck the pedestrian and remained at the scene.

The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.

This incident remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team.

Original release (July 23  6:10 p.m.):

At 4 p.m., Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to a pedestrian involved crash at Towsontown Boulevard and University Avenue. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a seriously injured adult male pedestrian who had been struck by a van.

The pedestrian was transported to Sinai Trauma Center for treatment. The van remained at the scene.

This incident is under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team.
