Web tip:

Baltimore County Police are investigating a murder/suicide in Edgemere. On July 29 at 3 p.m., police located William Lee Hasenei (47), and Robin Maureen Hasenei (49), inside their home, both suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. It is unclear which of the two was responsible for the shooting.

The incident began with an argument between Mrs. Hasenei and another man on July 28. On that date, just after 9 p.m., police received a 9-1-1 call for an assault. When police arrived, they met with a man who stated that he and a woman were on a pier, alongside the Hasenei’s home. According to this man, Mrs. Hasenei came from her home and started arguing with him because his truck was blocking Mrs. Hasenei’s truck in her driveway. During the argument, Mr. Hasenei came outside, held a gun to the head of the man on the pier, and stated “you are lucky I don’t blow your brains out.” The woman on the pier called police.

Officers investigating the assault did seize several guns from the Hasenei home, including the gun described by the victim from the pier. Mr. Hasenei was not arrested at that time due to his extensive medical illnesses. Police continued their investigation and received an arrest warrant for William Hasenei, charging him with first-degree assault and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Officers responded to the same location at 3 p.m. July 29 to arrest Mr. Hasenei. As the officers approached the house, they heard two gunshots from inside the home. Police went inside and found William and Robin Hasenei inside their bedroom. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police expect an autopsy to be performed on William and Robin Hasenei. Investigators are not searching for any additional suspects and do not believe that there is a threat to the public at this time.
