UPDATE (June 29  2:30 pm.):

Ricky Tolson, the man wanted in connection with the attempted robbery of a BP gas station in Lutherville, has been taken into custody. He is charged with armed robbery and related charges.

Tolson is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $50,000 bail.

The Baltimore County Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect in connection with a June 17 attempted robbery in Lutherville.

The initial investigation into the incident has indicated that on June 17 at approximately 2 p.m., the suspect entered the store at a BP gas station in the 1600 block of York Road 21093. He approached the counter with a hand under his shirt as if he had a gun and demanded money and lottery tickets.

The suspect then came around the counter and tried to take the register but was pushed away by the cashier. After two customers entered the store, the suspect fled without taking anything.

The investigation led detectives to identify 36-year-old Ricky Calvin Tolson as the suspect.

Tolson is described as a white male, 5’07”, 170 pounds, with two tear drop tattoos under his left eye and one tear drop tattoo under his right eye. He also has tattoos all the way down his left arm and a DMI tattoo on the left side of his neck.

The arrest warrant charges Tolson with armed robbery and related charges.

This incident remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Robbery Unit.
