This incident remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team. When the Crash Team completes its investigation, the report will be turned over to the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office for review. The State’s Attorney’s Office will decide if any charges are warranted.

Original release (June 13):

On June 12, 2015 at 4:41 p.m., Baltimore County police responded to a crash involving a pedestrian in the southbound lane of Dundalk Avenue near Baltimore Avenue in the Precinct 12 area.

A 1999 Ford truck, being operated by Valery Nimbo of the 12100 block of Sweet Clover Drive 20904, was traveling south on Dundalk Avenue, when the truck struck the pedestrian who was walking along the shoulder of the roadway. The pedestrian, identified as Jack Roland Walther (76) of the unit block of Admiral Boulevard, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 5:30 p.m.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
