Baltimore County Police are investigating a Wednesday night shooting in Lansdowne that left a man injured.

At 10:35 p.m., Baltimore County Police responded to an area hospital for a report of a gunshot victim that had walked into the emergency room. The victim said that he was shot at a location in Baltimore County.

The victim told police that he had been walking in the 400 Block of Fifth Avenue when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect shot him and fled the scene.

The victim remains hospitalized. His current condition is unknown.

This incident is under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit. Detectives will be working to determine if this was a targeted crime.
