Just after 2:30 p.m., Baltimore County Police responded to the Beth Isaac Adath Israel Congregation located in the 4300-block of Crest Heights Avenue, 21215 for a suspicious envelope. The envelope was not opened. Baltimore County Fire Department personnel determined that no dangerous substances were found. Investigators from the Police Department’s hazardous devices unit recovered the envelope.

Just after 4:00 p.m., Baltimore County Police responded to the Har Sinai Congregation located in the 2900-block of Walnut Avenue, 21117 for a suspicious envelope. Investigation revealed that the Congregation received the letter a week ago and reported it to police today after receiving information of the other incidents. This envelope also did not contain any hazardous substances. The letters appear to be similar in nature and do not convey any type of threat. County Police are reaching out to members of the affected communities. The investigation into the letters is continuing.
