Baltimore County Police Robbery detectives, in a cooperative effort with investigators from the Baltimore Police Department’s Citywide Robbery Unit, Anne Arundel Police Department, and the FBI Baltimore Field Office, announce the arrest of three suspects responsible for a lengthy series of armed commercial robberies across multiple jurisdictions over the last few months.

Baltimore County Police have linked the three suspects to at least 18 armed robberies committed in Baltimore County, beginning with the robbery of GameStop in the 6300 block of York Road, 21212 on November 28. These same suspects have been linked to at least 4 additional armed robberies in Anne Arundel County and at least 54 in Baltimore City, with additional robberies still under investigation.

The narrative is consistent across the majority of the robberies – masked suspects enter the business during the early evening hours wearing unique clothing, display handguns, and steal cash from the store register along with store merchandise.

This string of robberies ended the evening of March 1, 2019, when Baltimore County Robbery Unit detectives responded to a call for an armed robbery at a McDonald’s in the 6000 block of Liberty Road, 21207. Detectives located the suspect vehicle stopped at a gas station just inside Baltimore City in the 2000 block of N. Forest Park Avenue. Detectives approached the vehicle which had stopped at the gas pumps. The driver, Dontrell Glover, and a rear passenger, Milek Rankin, fled the vehicle on foot and, with the aid of K-9 and Aviation, both were apprehended. The third suspect, Marquis Moore, got into the driver seat of the suspect vehicle and fled.

Unmarked police units followed the suspect vehicle into Howard County where they lost sight of it, but eventually located it parked in the 10000 block of Daystar Court, 21044, and with the cooperation of the Howard County Police Department, were able to take the third suspect into custody.

The three suspects are identified as:

  • Dontrell Eric Glover (27) of the 1800 block of W. Saratoga Street, 21223
  • Milek Anton Rankin (25) of the 2500 block of Hollins Street, 21223
  • Marquis Davon Moore (32) of the 100 block of Thomas Guidera Circle, 21229

All three suspects have been charged with two counts each of armed robbery, robbery, and first degree assault, with additional charges pending additional investigation. All three suspects remain held on no bail status following bail review hearings yesterday.

Chief Terrence Sheridan acknowledged the hard work and dedication of members of all of the involved agencies put forth in this large-scale investigation. “When there are crimes committed across jurisdictions it takes serious commitment and cooperation from agencies to bring a successful conclusion to those investigations. That is exactly what we had in this case, which has brought an end to this crime spree and a sense of security back to our communities,” said Chief Sheridan.

Funding for this joint investigation was made possible in part by the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention which funds the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network.
