Baltimore County Fire crews fought two significant fires Tuesday -- the first a house fire in the Halethorpe area, the second a two-alarm blaze at the vacant Macaroni Grill in Timonium.

Dwelling Fire, 100 block Ridge Ave., 21227

Units were dispatched at 3:18 p.m. to the 100 block of Dwelling fire, 100 block of Ridge Ave.Ridge Ave. for a dwelling fire. First-arriving units from the Lansdowne Volunteer Fire Co. found heavy smoke showing and the first floor fully involved. Firefighters contained the fire contained by 3:38 p.m.

Because of structural damage, all crews evacuated the structure, and it has not been safe for BCoPD fire investigators to enter it.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined.

One volunteer firefighter was evaluated for a minor injury at the scene. No civilian injuries were reported; all occupants evacuated on their own.

Twenty-two pieces of equipment responded.

Two-Alarm Fire, 9700 block Beaver Dam Rd., 21093

At 6:09 p.m., fire crews responded to the vacant Macaroni Grill restaurant for a fire after a 911 caller reported the structure fully involved.

Commanders quickly moved to defensive operations, fighting the fire from the outside. A second alarm was called at 6:41 p.m. Several collapses were reported at 7:25 p.m.

The fire was placed under control at 8:05 p.m. Two-alarm fire at Macaroni Grill, Lutherville-TimoniumNo injuries were reported.

The cause remains under investigation by BCoPD fire investigators.
