UPDATE (August 27  1:20 p.m.):

Brandon Michael Herold has been arrested on a bail revocation warrant for a case in 2014. He is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

UPDATE (August 26  2:33 p.m.):

The Baltimore County Police Department has arrested 47-year-old Harry Anthony Herold. He is charged on three separate arrest warrants with offenses that include first-degree assault, witness intimidation, and theft. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

One of the arrest warrants was obtained by one of the victims in the original assault on August 16.

Police have been looking into events in the Rosedale neighborhood ever since the original incident. No reports of persons waiving a confederate flag in the neighborhood have been received since that time.

Extra patrols are continuing.

Original release (August 22  12:21 p.m.):

Baltimore County Police have charged a Rosedale man in connection with a fight which left a man injured.

Just after noon on August 16, police responded to the 8000 block of Duvall Avenue 21237 for a report of an assault. When officer arrived on the scene, they encountered a large group of people who pointed them to where a victim and suspect were.

The investigation into this incident has indicated that the suspect had been riding a bike with a confederate flag on it around 11 a.m. At noon, the suspect became involved in an argument with the first victim. The suspect then waived a knife at the first victim and stated “I’m gonna kill you.” The suspect and the first victim began to fight. The second victim saw the fight, and came outside to break it up. The suspect began swinging a knife at the second victim. The second victim put up his arm to block the knife and was cut. The suspect then got into a white van and left the area.

The second victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The first victim was slightly injured and was not transported to a medical facility.

The second suspect, who had already been located, was taken into custody.

On August 17 at approximately 12:20 p.m., the suspect’s father was seen in the front yard of the first victim. The complainant stated that he was looking at the window that the complainant was looking out of. The suspect’s father left but later returned to the area and was looking at several houses. He was later seen driving down the street pointing at two witnesses’ homes.

After consultation with the State’s Attorney’s Office, officers obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect father. The suspect’s father was taken into custody on August 19.

The suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Brandon Michael Herold of the 1100 block of Chesaco Avenue 21237. He was charged with first-degree assault, dangerous weapon, and related charges. He was later released on his own recognizance by the District Court.

The suspect’s father has been identified as 47-year-old Harry Anthony Herold of the 1100 block of Chesaco Avenue 21237. He was charged with trespassing - peeping tom and related charges. He was released on $35,000 bail by the District Court.

The suspect and both victims in the assault on August 16 are white males.

Police have been in close contact with victims and witnesses since the incident and have increased the frequency of patrols in the area.
