At 3:30 p.m., an employee was assaulted by a customer at Popeyes restaurant. The employees responded to the assault by assaulting the customer. One of the employees was subsequently arrested.

At 12:05 a.m., an unknown suspect(s) fired shots from a vehicle at another motorist traveling northbound. The suspect(s) then made a U-turn and fled. No injuries occurred.

At 10:28 a.m., an 11-year-old boy sought help from a neighbor after his father struck him with a screwdriver causing a puncture to his upper body. Reginald Eugene Cooper, the boy’s father, has been charged in this assault. Details about this case are available in the Department’s news blog.

Sometime between 9:30 p.m. on May 6 and 5:30 a.m. on May 7, after a verbal argument a known juvenile suspect fired a shot at the juvenile victim's window. No one was injured.

At 9 p.m., the police responded to an area hospital after the victim arrived there with a gunshot wound to the lower body. The detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.

At 3:18 a.m., an unknown suspect fired shots into an occupied vehicle during a separate physical altercation involving known and unknown suspects. The suspects then fled. There were no injuries.
