At 9:30 p.m., the victims were seated inside their vehicle when three unknown suspects came up to them and told them to get out of the vehicle. The victims complied and the suspects stole the vehicle with the victims' property inside.
Between 6 p.m. August 9 and 12:29 p.m. August 12, an unknown suspect stole a tan golf cart that was parked inside the  Owings Run Apartments attached garage.

There have been thefts from unlocked automobiles all around the county during these warm summer nights. Vehicles that are locked are not being targeted, because it's easier for a thief to walk around pulling on door handles until one comes open.

Please, remember to keep your car doors locked. A vehicle parked in a driveway is not out of play for a potential thief looking for an easy steal. Be sure to take all valuables into the house overnight, including all that loose change in the cup holders. Any amount of coins left in sight is an invitation to a thief to look for more money inside your car.

And never, ever, leave spare car keys to that car or another vehicle inside your car. The majority of vehicles stolen in Baltimore County are being stolen with keys left accessible to the thief.
