The Baltimore County Minority and Women’s Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) Office is accepting nominations for the 2018 MBE/WBE Awards. Nominations are open for three award categories to recognize outstanding MBE/WBE businesses or organizations that support MBE/WBE firms.

The honorees will be recognized at the 2018 MBE/WBE Awards Breakfast for accomplishments between July 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018. Business may be nominated for more than one category and self-nominations will be accepted.

Award Categories

Prime of the Year  The prime contractor that practices inclusion by providing MBE/WBE opportunities to a variety of different firms, or the contractor that regularly goes over and above the contract goals, or the contractor that demonstrated the best economic benefit factor that positively impacts Baltimore County.

MBE of the Year  The minority-owned business that demonstrated growth in contract performance while achieving MBE/WBE subcontracting goals in County contracts.

WBE of the Year  The women-owned business that demonstrate growth in contract performance while achieving MBE/WBE subcontracting goals in County contracts.

Nomination Submission

Nomination criteria and forms can be found online. All submissions must be submitted by Thursday, November 15, 2018, 4:30 p.m.

Nominations should be submitted via email to mwbe@baltimorecountymd.gov with the subject line “MBE/WBE Awards Nominee” or mailed to: Minority Business Enterprise and Women’s Business Enterprise Office, Historic Courthouse, Room 148, Towson, Maryland 21204.
