Free Webinar Series Assists Businesses and Workers Displaced by COVID-19

The County's workforce development team is hosting a free webinar on Monday, June 8, to help connect job seekers with local employers that are currently filling open positions in a variety of industries.

"Who's Hiring Now" is the third session in the "Baltimore County Business Forum-COVID-19 and Beyond" webinar series. Baltimore County Director of Economic and Workforce Development (DEWD) Director Will Anderson will moderate this 60-minute session, which offers job seekers timely and tangible information on current job openings and guidance on how to shine in online applications and remote job interviews.

Panelists include hiring managers from Baltimore County's manufacturing and healthcare sectors, and talent recruiters and workforce development professionals from government and private industry.

"The ongoing pandemic crisis has caused immediate and longer-term shifts in our economy, and we want to help people find good jobs while also helping our businesses fill the positions they need to serve their customers and remain competitive in this challenging business environment," said County Executive Olszewski, who will provide an update on the County's COVID-19 response, at the beginning of the webinar.

The webinar will be presented live via Cisco Webex on Monday, June 8, at 1 p.m., and webinar access information is posted on the County website at baltimorecountybusiness.com. Recorded video of the completed webinar will be posted there shortly afterwards. People are invited to submit questions during the webinar via the live Webex questions feature, or in advance by emailing businesshelp@baltimorecountymd.gov.
