Program Recognizes Achievements in Education, Employment, Advocacy, Volunteerism and Accessibility

The Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities is now accepting nominations for its 30th annual Disabilities Awards program.

The awards program seeks to recognize individual achievements of people with disabilities and activities undertaken by individuals, groups or organizations that contribute to the welfare of people with disabilities.

"In these challenging times, it's particularly important for us to come together to recognize selfless individuals for their sacrifice, perseverance in the face of adversity and commitment to helping those in need," said Baltimore County Executive John Olszewski. "I want to thank the Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities for continuing this proud tradition in holding their 30th annual awards program and I strongly encourage county residents to consider nominating a candidate today."

Seven award categories will be considered involving activities related to education, employment, advocacy, volunteerism and accessibility.
