Loading Dock Reuse Program

Baltimore County has partnered with The Loading Dock, Incorporated to accept reusable building materials at the Eastern Sanitary Landfill (ESL) in White Marsh and the Central Acceptance Facility (CAF) in Cockeysville. Listed below are the items specifically accepted in this donation program. Other materials (or items listed as "non-accepted" on this page) may still be taken to County drop-off centers for recycling or disposal, though restrictions may apply.

Accepted Materials

The following materials are accepted by the program:

  • Appliances (less than five years old)
  • Banisters
  • Bathtubs
  • Cabinets (kitchen and bath)
  • Cinder blocks and bricks
  • Doors
  • Faucets
  • Flooring
  • Hardware
  • Insulation (bagged)
  • Lighting and lamps
  • Lumber and moulding (over four feet, no nails)
  • Shingles (full packs)
  • Sinks
  • Tiles
  • Toilets (complete)
  • Tools
  • Wallpaper
  • Windows (double-pane)

Non-Accepted Materials

  • Broken items
  • Items with nails
  • Bay windows
  • Bi-fold doors (used)
  • Discolored vanity tops
  • Flat, hollow door slabs (used)
  • Incomplete toilets
  • Loose cabinet doors and drawers
  • Paint
  • Short moulding pieces (under four feet)
  • Single cabinets (missing parts)
  • Sliding glass doors without tracks (including shower doors)
  • Soft furniture
  • Tubs with scrapes
  • Used laminate counter tops (over six feet)
  • Vinyl window sashes (wooden is okay)

Registering Your Donation

Tax donation receipt forms are available at drop-off sites. An online donation form is also available from The Loading Dock.
