COVID-19 Coronavirus Updates and Guidance

Engineering Records

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all requests for drawings and information must be submitted electronically by following the process outlined below.

Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Due to limited staffing, Engineering Records will occasionally close early for the day or for lunch. Please contact us to verify our daily hours.

Engineering Records is responsible for preservation and reproduction of County-maintained construction drawings denoting public-maintained utilities. These utilities include water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, roads, bridges, alleys, storm water management, stream restoration and culverts. Prints are available for a nominal fee.

Request Records

Note: Do not initiate payment until you have completed steps one and two.

Step 1: Submit Your Request

Email your completed Engineering Records Request form (PDF), as well as a map indicating the area needed, to engrec@baltimorecountymd.gov.

Step 2: Staff Will Contact You

Our staff will respond via email with the reference number and payment amount needed to process your online payment.

Step 3: Pay Request Fee Online

  1. Log in to the online payment system. You will be asked to create an account if you don't already have one.
  2. Once logged in, select the "Online Payments" tab.
  3. Select “Engineering Records Request" as your transaction type, and enter the reference number and fee amount provided to you by staff.
  4. Complete your online payment.

Step 4: Receive Requested Documents

After payment verification, staff will respond via email within 48 hours with a link to your digital documents. This link will be valid for 24 hours.
