Historic Preservation Design Guidelines

Baltimore County Historic Preservation Design Guidelines wins a 2013 National Association of Counties (NACo) Achievement Award.

The Preservation Services Division of the Department of Planning was granted a 2013 NACo Achievement Award in the category of Arts & Historic Preservation for their Historic Preservation Design Guidelines publication. The award recognizes innovative county programs that have yielded positive results for county residents. The Historic Preservation Design Guidelines were developed to be a resource for citizens who are interested in rehabilitating historic homes.

Design guidelines (PDF) for historic preservation were adopted by the Landmarks Preservation Commission and approved by the Director of Planning on November 25, 2011 in accordance with Article 3, Title 7 of the Baltimore County Code for inclusion in the Code of Baltimore County Regulations.
