Public Hearing on COVID-19 Funding

Baltimore County wants to hear how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted citizens’ ability to pay rent and maintain housing. Citizen views will be part of an application to the Maryland Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) for eviction prevention/rental assistance funds awarded through the federal CARES Act. CARES Act funds must be used to prevent, prepare for and respond to the coronavirus.

The hearing will be held as part of the Baltimore County Council’s Work Session on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 4 pm. For information on how to view the video conference and provide testimony on Resolution 96-20 (PDF) and the need for additional eviction prevention funds, please visit the County Council’s virtual meetings web page.
