Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds Fiscal Year 2021 Public Hearing

Join us for a Public Hearing to obtain citizen views on use of federal Housing and Urban Development funds for Fiscal Years 2021 to 2025, identification of priorities for funding in Fiscal Year 2021, and a discussion of emerging trends. The hearing will be held on Monday, December 9, at 9:30 a.m. at the Towson Library, ground floor with a pre-proposal meeting to follow on how to apply for upcoming grant funds.

Liberty Road Study

The Liberty Road study aims to create a vision and identify specific improvements and policies to guide future investment and development. Your engagement is needed for this study. A Project Kick-off and Open House will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 and a Public Workshop will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019.

Comprehensive Zoning Map Process (CZMP) 2020

The CZMP takes place every four years. Any citizen may request a zoning change on any property in the County. CZMP 2020 started with the public pre-filing period that began on August 19.

Programs and Projects

The Baltimore County Department of Planning implements programs and projects that strengthen existing communities, improve housing opportunities, revitalize older commercial centers and preserve rural resources. The Department formulates policies, plans and regulations to guide the County’s growth and development for future generations.
