Housing Enrichment Classes

The Baltimore County Office of Housing invites you to attend our free, quarterly enrichment classes. These classes are designed to offer you more of the tools, knowledge and inspiration needed to fuel your visions and achieve your goals.

2016 Class Schedule

While the classes are open to the general public, preference will be given to clients served by the Office of Housing when seating is limited. All classes start at noon and run up to one- and a half-hours long.

Year Up, August 17
Join us to find out how you can apply to this program that empowers low-income, young adults to go from poverty to professional careers in a single year.

Financial Literacy Huddle!, August 24
A representative from Wells Fargo will educate and guide you on the importance of establishing and sustaining excellent credit ratings. This class is a great opportunity to connect with a banker who will help you succeed, navigate and grow financially.  

Maintenance and Housekeeping, August 31
Learn and share helpful tips to keep your living space fresh.

September

Bank On It, September 7
This class is an introduction to services available through banks. By the end of this course, participants will understand available banking services and how to build a positive relationship with a financial institution.

Financial Literacy Huddle!, September 14
A representative from Wells Fargo will educate and guide you on the importance of establishing and sustaining excellent credit ratings. This class is a great opportunity to connect with a banker who will help you succeed, navigate and grow financially.  

Watt Watchers: Part One at 1 p.m., September 21 
Watt Watchers is an energy conservation education program that focuses on behavior, and uses group methods to teach money saving tips without sacrificing your quality of life.

Watt Watchers is an energy education program that focuses on behavior, and uses group methods to teach money saving tips without sacrificing your quality of life.

Health 101: Diabetes, October 5
A guest speaker from United Healthcare will be giving helpful information on diabetes type I and II. The speaker will discuss symptoms of this preventable disease and how to care and manage it. 

Financial Literacy Huddle!, October 12

Fire Safety, October 19
A local Home Depot representative will teach best practices on preventing a fire in your home. 

Money Habits, October 26
Discover the real issues that keep you from reaching your financial goals with this fun and informative exercise!
