Water Improvements in Victory Villa

Baltimore County is investing $2.5 million dollars in the Victory Villa area to replace aging cast-iron water pipes in order to improve water quality, reliability and fire protection. The work, which should begin in September and require about a year, will replace 9,700 feet of six-inch and eight-inch diameter cast-iron line.

Sewers: Herring Run Structural Rehabilitation Phase 1

Baltimore County is rehabilitating 81,000 feet of sewer line spread throughout Council Districts 5 and 6. Work recently began and has progressed about 79 percent toward completion. It is expected to be completed in a year and a half and cost $4,640,123.

The Future Fullerton Reservoirs

On February 7, 2017, the Department of Public Works and Transportation broke ground on the Fullerton Reservoirs—three have been planned for the site. Construction is expected to take about three years and cost $80.1 million. Engineers estimate that the project is now about 67 percent complete. The construction site is bounded by Ridge Road, Bucks School House Road and Perry Hall Boulevard.

Information: Email enginrng@baltimorecountymd.gov or call 410-887-3783.

Mohrs Lane Bridge

The Mohrs Lane Bridge over the CSX Railroad, north of Pulaski Highway, was closed in 2007 because of structural deterioration. Demolition was completed by CSX in March 2011—at no cost to Baltimore County, which has assumed ownership and plans to rebuild the span. A new bridge is currently being designed with construction scheduled to begin by late 2019. This bridge will be part of the future Campbell Boulevard Corridor.
