The intent is to rotate venues throughout to engage feedback from a diverse set of stakeholders.

Community meetings are scheduled as follows:

Comprehensive Zoning Map Process 2020 Has Begun

The Comprehensive Zoning Map Process (CZMP) takes place every four years on an exact schedule specified in the County Code. Any citizen may request a zoning change on any property in Baltimore County, although the usual participants in the process are individual landowners, contract purchasers, community organizations, County staff, the Planning Board and the County Council.

The CZMP covers a period of approximately 12 months and results in zoning decisions that are reflected in a final log of issues. Ultimately, the County Council decides on each issue whether to retain the existing zoning or to enact a different zone(s) or district(s). Generally, each issue is a single property, but an issue might cover many adjoining properties and might even cover many hundreds of acres. The zoning on all properties that were not issues is reenacted without change.

View a list of public hearing dates and locations. For more information, please visit the CZMP page.

If you have any questions, please contact the Department of Planning, 105 West Chesapeake Avenue, Suite 101, Towson, Maryland 21204. Call 410-887-3480 or email czmp2020@baltimorecountymd.gov.

Stoneleigh-Anneslie Storm Water Project to Begin

The Department of Public Works and Transportation and Transportation is addressing storm water concerns in the Stoneleigh-Anneslie community and is about to update the 100-year-old drainage system. Baltimore County earmarked a million dollars for the project last year and the County's contractor will begin work in November or early December with the relocation of water lines. Following the relocation, crews will install pipes and manholes on Kingston Road, Wardman Avenue, Marlborough Road, Avondale Road and a part of Regester Avenue. Construction is expected to be finished late next year and working hours, traffic changes and parking impacts will be announced as the job progresses.
