The Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability (EPS) publishes a list of the environmental administrative variance requests along with their status. The requests are listed by County Council District.

Planning Board Meetings

Improvements for the Campus Hills Pumping Station

The Department of Public Works and Transportation and Transportation is improving the Campus Hills Sewage Pumping Station at 1002 Southwick Court in Campus Hills. Work on the $2.5 million project began in September and is 3 percent complete.

Towsontown Boulevard and Osler Drive Sewer

The Department of Public Works and Transportation and Transportation has completed the Towson Run Relief Sewer through Towsontown Boulevard. Paving is scheduled for spring 2019.

Baynesville and Pine Grove Water Project

Baltimore County is investing $2.2 million to clean and structurally reline 11,111 feet of water line in the Baynesville-Pine Grove area east of Towson. The work to improve the old cast-iron pipe began in April and should have been finished by November. It is now 98 percent complete.

Stoneleigh-Anneslie Stormwater Project

Baltimore County is addressing storm runoff concerns in the Stoneleigh-Anneslie community east of York Road. County engineers are designing a solution to update the 100-year-old drainage system that is currently serving the community. Baltimore County has earmarked $1 million for the project. During the process, County engineers and residents have been meeting to discuss and clarify community issues.

Water Line Replacement in Campus Hills

Baltimore County is replacing an existing eight-inch diameter cast-iron pipe in the Campus Hills area. Construction began in June and is about 45 percent complete. The project will cost $2.5 million.

Water Line Rehabilitation: The Towson Fourth System

The Department of Public Works and Transportation and Transportation is replacing water lines in:

  1. Joppa Road between Old Harford Road and Drumwood Road
  2. Oakleigh Road between Joppa Road and White Oak Road
  3. Satyr Hill Road from Lowell Ridge Road to Harford Road

The project began last February. It will be completed by the spring and will cost $6.7 million. It is 82 percent complete.

Sewers: Jones Falls Structural Rehabilitation Phase 1

Baltimore County began rehabilitating 66,000 feet of sewer line in July 2017 throughout Council Districts 2 and 5. The project will last a year and a half and will cost $3,393,583.60. It is now 87 percent complete.

Sewers: Herring Run Structural Rehabilitation Phase 1

Baltimore County has been rehabilitating 81,000 feet of sewer line spread throughout Council Districts 5 and 6. Work has progressed rapidly and is about 91 percent toward completion. It is expected to be completed in a year and a half and cost $4,640,123.

Extension of Missing Curb, Sidewalk-Widening on Cross Road

The Department of Public Works is planning to fill in missing curbs and sidewalks on Cross Road between Chapel Road and Honeygo Boulevard.

The Future Fullerton Reservoirs

The County’s contractor received a “notice to proceed” in January 2017 and the Department of Public Works and Transportation and Transportation broke ground on February 7, 2017 on the Fullerton Reservoirs—three are planned for the site. Construction is expected to take about three years and cost $80.1 million. The construction site is bounded by Ridge Road, Bucks School House Road and Perry Hall Boulevard. Engineers estimate that the project is now 78 percent complete.
