EPS Variances

Environmental Protection and Sustainability (EPS) publishes a list of the environmental administrative variance requests along with their status. The requests are listed by County Council District.

Planning Board Meetings

Design Review Panel Meeting

Landmarks Preservation Commission Meeting

Phoenix Road Bridge

Baltimore City’s Phoenix Road Bridge (Bridge BC6507) over Gunpowder Falls and the Northern Central Railroad Trail will be replaced. The federally-funded project is anticipated to begin in 2021 and take two years to complete. The bridge will be closed during construction and detours will be established and announced as the project approaches its start, say Baltimore City sources.

Sewer Pumping Station in Cockeysville

Baltimore County is modernizing the Cockeysville Pumping Station. Work began in April. Modifications will take about a year and a half to finish and will cost $5,215,000. The project is seven percent complete (corrected from August report).

Water Main Replacement on York Road

Baltimore County is replacing a water main on York Road between Padonia Road and Wight Avenue. Contractors are replacing an old cast-iron pipe built in the 1930s that has failed frequently in the past decade. The project, which began in July 2018 and will cost about $14 million, is expected to take about two years to complete and is 94 percent finished.

  • From Section 409.6.A.2 of the Baltimore County Zoning Regulations (BCZR), to allow a total of 12 off-street parking spaces for a standard restaurant and commercial use of the basement in lieu of the required 57 parking spaces, and six off-street parking spaces in lieu of the required 26 parking spaces for commercial uses other than a standard restaurant, as listed on the site plan filed in the case;
  • From section 409.8.A.4 of the BCZR, to allow parking spaces in a surface parking facility as close as eight feet to the right-of-way line of a public street in lieu of the required 10 feet.
