The intent is to rotate venues throughout to engage feedback from a diverse set of stakeholders.

Community meetings are scheduled as follows:

Comprehensive Zoning Map Process 2020 Has Begun

The Comprehensive Zoning Map Process (CZMP) takes place every four years on an exact schedule specified in the County Code. Any citizen may request a zoning change on any property in Baltimore County, although the usual participants in the process are individual landowners, contract purchasers, community organizations, County staff, the Planning Board and the County Council.

The CZMP covers a period of approximately 12 months and results in zoning decisions that are reflected in a final log of issues. Ultimately, the County Council decides on each issue whether to retain the existing zoning or to enact a different zone(s) or district(s). Generally, each issue is a single property, but an issue might cover many adjoining properties and might even cover many hundreds of acres. The zoning on all properties that were not issues is reenacted without change.

View a list of public hearing dates and locations. For more information, please visit the CZMP page.

If you have any questions, please contact the Department of Planning, 105 West Chesapeake Avenue, Suite 101, Towson, Maryland 21204. Call 410-887-3480 or email czmp2020@baltimorecountymd.gov.

Water in the Dumbarton Neighborhood, Pikesville

Baltimore County is relining and cleaning more than 16,000 feet of water line in 27 streets in Dumbarton. The project, managed in two phases, is about 45 percent complete and will cost $4.2 million.

Water Line Replacement on Lake Avenue

Baltimore County is replacing a section of old cast-iron water pipe on Lake Avenue between Falls Road and Lakehurst Drive. Work began in January. The old line, which dates from the 1920s, has failed frequently in recent years and will be replaced with ductile iron pipe. The project, estimated to cost $1.5 million, is 89 percent complete.
