Spay and Neuter Services Package

Spay and Neuter Surgeries

Starting Monday, June 22, Animal Services will resume online scheduling of surgeries for cats at its Baldwin surgery center. The scheduling portal will be available on this page beginning at 8 a.m.

A phased-in reopening is in place in order to ensure the safety of staff, the public and all animals served. We appreciate your patience as we work with our local, state and federal partners toward fully reopening both our Baldwin and Dundalk surgical locations. Until such time, the following protocols are in place:

  • All services are by appointment only.
  • If you are feeling sick, or anyone in your household is sick, we ask that you schedule for when you are healthy.
  • One caregiver (owner) will be permitted to accompany each pet.
  • Face coverings are required.
  • Pre-surgical documents will be emailed prior to appointment; a valid email address is required.
  • Payment is required at time of scheduling. Requests without payment will not be accepted.
  • TNR cats will require an appointment at this time, but no payment is required.

More information will be provided as we increase our capacity to provide all services. Please continue to monitor our website for these updates, including dog surgery availability.

Baltimore County Animal Services offers a reduced-cost spay and neuter program for County and City residents. Dogs and cats may be spayed or neutered, and receive other valuable services, for just $20.

What's Included

In addition to the spay and neuter surgery, your pet package also includes the following services:

  • Rabies vaccine, as required by law
  • Other vaccines such as distemper and Bordetella (dogs only)
  • Deworming
  • A County animal license (applicable to Baltimore County residents only)
  • Microchip

Your pet must qualify and have surgery through our program in order to receive these additional services. Pet owners may not opt out of individual services; pets must receive all services as part of this package.

Review the restrictions for spay and neuter services below before requesting an appointment.
