Councilman David Marks
It is an honor to represent the people of the Fifth District on the Baltimore County Council. The Fifth District stretches from Charles Street on the west to the Harford County line on the east, encompassing communities such as Towson, Loch Raven, Carney, Parkville, Perry Hall, and Kingsville.
My goal is to provide bipartisan, independent leadership for these neighborhoods on the County Council. I will always try to find common ground on issues that come before the County Council, but not hesitate to be an independent voice on matters of conscience or good government.
My priorities are very clear. We've worked to reform government by passing numerous bills that make the development process more accountable to residents and community associations. We've worked to preserve open space by downzoning more than 430 acres of land, creating two environmental greenways, and advancing the construction of five new parks. And we're working to strengthen neighborhoods and schools from Towson to Kingsville.
These are tough issues and I welcome your input, but I also understand that many residents simply need help with basic concerns. Our office will do its best to answer questions you may have about public safety, code enforcement, and other issues. Thank you for visiting this page, and for the trust you placed in me as your County Councilman.
