| |  | The District Court Division of the State's Attorney's Office prosecutes all misdemeanor criminal offenses, traffic offenses punishable by jail and certain felonies such as theft over $500. There are three District Court locations in Baltimore County - Catonsville, Towson and Essex. Prosecutors randomly rotate to all three sites. The District Court is a high volume court which is designed to handle cases in an expeditious manner.
