To make Baltimore County Government a national leader in using information technology to improve the quality of services provided to its citizens and businesses. The Office of Information Technology will do this by providing leadership, technical expertise, training, infrastructure, services and technical support to County agencies. Customers—While we serve the agencies and employees of Baltimore County, our customers are ultimately the citizens and businesses in the County. Everything we do will result in increased service to our customers.
Innovation—We are responsible for leading the County in information technology. We will continuously seek the 'better mouse trap' in an effort to identify new technologies that will improve services and reduce costs.
Change—We see change as an opportunity, not a threat. Our ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment is our competitive advantage.
People—Our people are our most important resource. We value skill, knowledge, creativity, enthusiasm, integrity and commitment. We will provide a setting that attracts highly qualified people and offers them an opportunity to work in a challenging and satisfying environment.
