Watershed Management Program

The watershed management program works with community partners, especially local watershed associations, to increase citizen actions in protecting Baltimore County water resources.

Baltimore County consists of 14 major watersheds.  Watershed managers continually evaluate protection and restoration strategies for the natural resources throughout our watersheds.  Technical watershed plans have been developed for 10 of the 14 watersheds. Small Watershed Action Plans (SWAP) are being developed collaboratively with citizens, businesses, farmers and watershed organizations.
